Limo (livery) insurance and rideshare (TNC) insurance are completely separate products regulated differently. Livery insurance covers pre-arranged for-hire transportation using commercial vehicles with liability limits of $500K-$5M CSL. Rideshare insurance covers on-demand app-based rides using personal vehicles with lower minimums ($50K/$100K/$25K during Period 1). TNC coverage does not extend to livery operations — you cannot use Uber/Lyft insurance for a limo business.
If you are transitioning from rideshare to a limo business, you need a completely separate commercial livery policy. The regulatory bodies, insurance requirements, driver qualifications, and vehicle standards are all different. See the comparison table in our Mississippi guide or contact Bridgeway for guidance.
